The tradition of family farming has been a part of our story since 1887. HMC Farms is much more than a business to us, it’s a way of life. We have spent generations adapting our growing and handling practices to reliably provide the simple pleasure of great tasting fruit. Our actions are measured in ways that ensure we protect the environment for future generations and the community in which we live and farm.
The core of HMC Farms is an extended family of agricultural and marketing experts… people who have grown up in the produce business, and those who have invested careers in learning everything there is to know about growing and delivering a better piece of fruit to people who enjoy fruit. Our management team, growing team, and marketing team work closely together with a single purpose: to reliably provide the best tasting tree fruit and grapes with consistent flavor every time.
Our commitment to great tasting fruit can only be assured with the complete control that is needed to properly handle the fruit after harvest. Our packing facilities are located within minutes of our orchards and vineyards. These food handling facilities employ the best practices, and are equipped with leading technology to efficiently deliver the highest quality product. To ensure that we protect our most valued resources — people, air, land, and water — HMC utilizes cutting edge ideas and technology. HMC is continually striving to improve our farms and facilities. It is our never-satisfied attitude that allows us to deliver on our promise of great tasting fruit.
The History of HMC Farms
HMC Farms acquired its first piece of property. The 40 acre ranch is still in the family name to this day.
The CTFA was founded to represent more than 900 growers and shippers and establish quality standards for fresh peaches and nectarines.
The Lunch Bunch, the original portioned grape, was introduced into the marketplace with increasing success.
100 years after the first ranch was purchased, Harold and Mike started HMC Farms, a company founded on great tasting fruit.
Harold and Mike still work side by side running the company that they founded. They are now joined by their children who share their same beliefs in great tasting produce.
