It appears that this year we will move directly from winter into summer. With a chance of rain still in the forecast for the next few days it seems mother nature will do what she wants. Early next week is predicted to be sunny and in the 80’s with another chance of rain at the end of the week. As always these temperatures can move up or back a day or two. Here at HMC Farms we have started small picks on our earliest varieties but don’t expect big volumes until next week when we get into our Zee Fires and Red Roy nectarines and Flame 21 peaches. As of right now, white peaches will not be starting until early June with Ivory Dutchess and Spring Snow. Early Pearl white nectarines should begin around that same time frame. Black plums are expected for the second week of June with Flavorosa, with Red Rubi Rosa’s following a little later.
