Peach Update

Peaches will begin this Saturday with small pick of SuperRich.  But we feel that peaches don’t really get going until the 15th when we pick Spring Flame 20’s. Below are pictures of what each variety currently looks like out in the field.

Nectarine Update

Nectarines will begin on May 19th, with Spring Flare 20’s, but big volumes won’t get started until all three early varieties are underway.  May 22nd Zee Fire, Spring Flare 20, and Red Roy will be ready to ship in large quantities.  These early varieties will peak at 56’s and 64’s.

SummerWhite Update

SummerWhites are tracking for a 5/23 start date for white peaches and a 5/25 start for white nectarines.

Plums are still a few weeks away.  Below gives you a look at fully matured upcoming varieties with start dates.

Table Grape Update:  Leaf Thinning in the Vineyards

Leaf thinning is done every spring to create an ideal canopy for ripening.  Leaves are taken out of the vine to promote growth and increase sun exposure to the remaining leaves and grape clusters.
