Heavy rain last week, but no hail was spotted.  The forecast this week is for rain tonight and maybe tomorrow.  Once the rain is gone there is a high pressure system moving in which means it should stay warm the next 10 to 12 days.

Record setting heat is finally behind us as we cool off into the 90’s towards the end of this week.  The heat wave has slowed production a little, but the harvest that is coming off is still strong.

Finishing up the last few picks of Zee Diamonds and Spring Flame 21’s this week.  Monday was our first pick of Crimson Lady, which is the largest peach variety to date.

Tree Fruit Update Thinning has begun for some in the San Joaquin Valley; others believe that Mother Nature thinned for them when the freeze hit in mid March. In any case, projections are for a strong crop beginning a day or two later then last year.
