Record setting heat is finally behind us as we cool off into the 90’s towards the end of this week.  The heat wave has slowed production a little, but the harvest that is coming off is still strong.

HMC Farms Update 6/3

Peaches
Moving into our larger sized peaches the end of this week with Earli Rich and Brittney Lane.  We will picking these varieties and a few others until mid June.

Current nectarines in production are Red Rose, Rose Diamond, Rose Bright, and Diamond Bright.  Brix and product quality are as good as we’ve ever seen

Finishing up the last few picks of Zee Diamonds and Spring Flame 21’s this week.  Monday was our first pick of Crimson Lady, which is the largest peach variety to date.

This week we started picking our predominant peach varieties for this time of year, Spring Flame 21 and Zee Diamond.  Harvest will continue on these varieties into the middle of next week.
